Windstream is also continuing its strategic partnership with Uniti Group and has broadened that relationship, he said.

In May, a New York federal judge approved by Windstream proposed regulation with the Uniti Group. Uniti separated from Windstream in 2015 when the latter sold some of its network assets. Unity controls the broadband network which is essential to Windstream’s operations. Windstream provides approximately 70% of Uniti’s revenue in exchange for access to the network.
